Just a reminder, friends, that the NSCA year 2010 is about to begin at Landt Farms Sporting Clays.

Winter is still here, although it feels like spring - a mixture of snow, ice and mud, depending on the day and the hour. We are here and throwing targets for the first tournament of the year - Gene Harder Memorial Tournament on Saturday, March 13th at 10 a.m.

Gene's son, Chad, will be here, and we will definitely be shooting from the Gene Harder Memorial Station!

Hope to see you then. Remember to call and let me know you are coming, give me the names of your squad mates; and come anytime after 8:30 to pay on the day of the shoot. Warm-up at the 5-stand after 9 am.

• November 13th - Help Hayden Walk Fundraiser
• December 18th - "Winter Games" - Youth Fundraiser

As before, all shoots start at 10 am. $10.00 goes back to payouts, except for Fundraisers, where the funds go to the Benefit entity.

The Board discussed the following at their quarterly board meeting:

• 2011 Shoot Scheduling guidelines were presented, voted on and approved.
• Clubs will get email/mail regarding scheduling by August 1st, 2010; WSCA Secretary must receive club shoot date preferences no later than Sept 5th; 2011 shoot scheduling meeting will be held Sept 11th after the shoot at Sumner.
• Discussed 2010 Washington State Championship at Evergreen.
• Discussed 2011 State Championship – Applications can be submitted starting April 1st. Last day to send in proposal is June 1, 2010. Announcement where the 2011 Championship will be held will be made at the State Shoot at Evergreen the end of June.
• Discussed NSCA shoot rules regarding setting targets and shooting the course. A letter will be sent to all clubs via e-mail and mail to remind them of the NSCA rules.
